We hear of women being beaten up, hit, burnt, smacked, abused, and we have this wonderful tendency to think that in the global balance of things this is the lesser evil. You know how terrorism is a greater sin, and how Libya is of more importance. Life does not work that way. There is no relative grading. Just because 30 people died somewhere rather than the 3 somewhere else, it does not take away from the situation. Because your scar is deeper than mine doesn’t make my pain any less. Strangely we still look at the world with a grading table.
